Fixes and Optimizations:

  • General crash and progress blocker fixes including:
    • Fixed save game compatibility issue that was affecting progress on unlocking some achievements and hunter challenges.
    • Fixed infinite load issue in house when warping to final mission during Final Prep.
    • Fixed loading screen crash from dying during combat in Zephyr.
    • Fixed issue where player respawned and got locked outside of a warp base door during Krubis.
    • Fixed issue where player was stuck when going through Human Haven portal outside Applebees.
    • Fixed issue where player couldn’t set down guns during Rescue Lizzie.
    • Fixed Krubis being stuck underground during Boss Fight.
    • Fixed issue where Lezduit was available post-game, resolving the below issues:
    • Player locked in a room in Human Haven while Lezduit was equipped.
    • Lezduit was available in the inventory and on the couch post-game.
  • Fixed achievement “Eye scream, you scream” failing to unlock when expected.
  • Fixed achievement “Mods Please Ban” – can now reliably complete as 30 hunk kills are now possible.
  • Fixed enemies not showing up. Ex: Schlooper location in the Outskirts.
  • Fixed low FPS issue during Xenoslaughter at 3440×1440 resolution.
  • Fixed missing voice lines for final Ant shot callout at end of 9-Torg bounty.
  • Fixed missing voice lines for Clugg’s Suits and Sweezy during Giblets bounty.
  • Fixed missing background music in Slums tunnel during 9-Torg bounty.
  • Fixed Ant enemies going through a ramp wall during 9-Torg bounty.
  • Improved performance in Destroyed Earth during Garmantuous Bounty.

Content & Feature Updates

  • Xbox Series X/S:
    • Updated default visual quality setting – now called performance mode. This is intended to run at 60 fps with dynamic resolution (up to 1440p on Series X, up to 1080p on Series S).
    • Added a new quality mode that features improved visual quality targeted at 30 fps. This runs with dynamic resolution up to 4k on Series X and 1440p on Series S.
  • PC: Added Native and AI Quality Improvement Modes (Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR 2.0 and Intel XeSS options), now available in the Settings Menu.
  • All platforms: Added settings for disabling drift and distortion for the heads-up display (HUD) in the Settings Menu.

Patch 4 Hotfix – NVIDIA DLSS improvement setting option now available for PC Gamepass.

Fixes and Optimizations:

  • General performance optimization pass in Port Terrene and Dreg Town
  • Fixed ‘Mods Please Ban’ achievement failing to unlock and addressed most issues of Hunter Challenges not tracking properly from previous save files
  • Fixed ‘Luglox Genocide’ achievement failing to unlock after opening all Lugloxes
  • Fixed ‘Playing Card to Get’ achievement not unlocking when expected while collecting Trading Cards
  • Fixed issues where players were losing Weapons from their inventories
  • Fixed issues of Weapon Mods unequipping after narrative moments
  • Bounty Reward for defeating Garmantuous now granted upon reloading to the house after completing the game
  • Clean up and fixes to the keybinds menu including reset to default functionality, multiple-bind overlaps and reassignments
  • Additional fixes to ensure Globo performs for the crowd after buying him a drum a few missions prior
  • Fixed the disembodied, floating player arms upon interacting with in-world objects
  • Fixed weapon and player hand sorting issues
  • Fixed Skrendel Boss fight issues including Bros getting stuck in an infinite barrel roll and forgetting who / what / where they are after being hit by a Kenny Glob shot
  • Fixed pushable platforms potentially flinging players too far out of streaming bounds and potentially crashing as a result
  • General crash and progress blocker fixes including:
    • Fixed issue where players were unable to use the zipline after defeating Krubis
    • Fixed issues where players were respawning in Old Town Saloon, Space Applebees, and Nipulon’s Office with no way out
    • The crowd at High On Life will no longer trap the player in a corner of the store
    • Reloading checkpoint upon acquiring Sweezy after defeating Douglas will no longer softlock the player
    • Further checks to prevent player from getting stuck during the Jetpack Tutorial
    • Fixed issues of respawning in infinite freefall in areas of Cloning Labs, Dreg Town, and after Douglas fight
    • Fixed objectives not updating upon respawn in Giblets and Nipulon missions
    • Fixed the arena door not opening reliably after the first Skrendel Bro encounter
    • Fixed issue where players were unable to collect the DNA from some of the Skrendel Bros
    • Fixed players getting stuck by jetpacking across the Old Town Ravine before spawning the Rainbow Bridge
    • Fixed the Multi-Gun portion of the Nipulon Fight failing to trigger

Content Updates

  • Added FOV Slider within Settings > Video for PC
  • Added Text Resizing within Settings > General to all platforms
  • Added key rebinding to the Game Introduction
  • General collision pass throughout to help prevent the player from getting stuck or falling off the map
  • General audio balancing and spatialization pass across SFX, Music, and Dialogue including:
    • Updated surround and Atmos mix
  • Subtitle timing pass to fix delayed, missing, or stuck subtitle text throughout
  • Lizzie present in the house after beating the game
  • Unmuzzled Knifey
  • Magboots can now be auto-granted after talking with Clugg if the player missed them outside of High On Life
  • House front door is now unlocked during the Final Prep mission, allowing players to revisit Gatlus
  • Bounty 5k is now usable throughout Meet Clugg mission
  • Globo now farts more frequently

Fixes and Optimizations:

  • Added shader compilation fix on the PC Gamepass to match quality across platforms.
  • Improved performance across Xbox platforms, including a fix to frame pacing and stuttering on Xbox One
  • Added additional protection to save data to prevent quitting, dying or reloading at the moment an objective completes from corrupting saves.
  • Fixed Hunter Forums for Blim City failing to unlock for Downtown areas after visiting the High On Life Store.
  • Fixed enemies from attacking the player when they are disguised in Goop Armor when checkpoint is rebooted.
  • Fixed issue of collecting all Trading Cards not granting the “Playing Card to Get Achievement”.

  • Fixed interact prompts disappearing or not triggering on OLE’WET Grundy, Keycard in Clugg’s Office, the Good Salesman.

  • Fixed issue where guns were missing from inventory after reloading checkpoint during Nipulon Mission
  • Fixed issue where players were getting stick outside the Douglas Boss Arena.
  • Player can now return home from the Slums if they unexpectedly respawned outside of the base.
  • Fixed Krubis disappearing during the Boss Battle after getting glob shotted and stabbed.
  • Fixed issue of Angela Skrendel disappearing if player dies and respawns during combat near Cloning Vats.
  • Fixed issue of not being able to resume gameplay from the pause menu after disconnecting and reconnecting the controller.
  • Fixed disembodied player arms preventing players from being able to exit the house after completing the Final Mission.
  • Fixed players unable to back out of the Credits with Keyboard and Mouse.

High On Life Build Notes – Fixes and Optimizations

  • General crash and progress blocker fixes including bad respawns in Douglas Mission and Jetpack tutorial
  • Improved PC performance across various hardware configurations
  • Improved performance across Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms
  • Improved UI text and button readability
  • Localization fixes for incorrect/missing translations, subtitle timing, and overall readability
  • Fixed combat music playing at inappropriate times and music getting stuck during Krubis and Douglas missions
  • Fixed Blorto’s menu to display player’s warp crystal count accurately and adding a single-purchase limit to Warp Discs
  • Fixed commercials starting before the previous video completes
  • Fixed subtitles from remaining on screen after leaving the area or concluding conversations
  • Improved recommended default video quality settings detection on PC

CONTENT UPDATES:

  • General collision pass throughout to help prevent the player from getting stuck while venturing off the golden path on uneven terrain
  • General lookats, lipflap, and narrative animation polish pass on NPCs
  • General audio balancing and spatialization pass across SFX, Music, and Dialogue
  • General combat and balance passes on all Boss and Combat Encounters
  • Balance pass on the Skate Park Warp Base to earn more points per trick
  • Populated Highway Warp Base to now appear after completing the game
  • Improved visuals on projectiles for the Sweezy Bullet Rewind Mod
  • Improved visuals on Garmantuous attacks during final battle
  • Tuned slide bash to feel less floaty
  • Increased draw distance on environmental assets in Zephyr and Blim City
  • Improved player control over gun and enemy combat chatter within the settings menu
  • TV in the house will now continue to play videos after completing the game
